They have. They wouldn't get the programme sent over just for the Irish because they don't show NRL matches on Setanta Ireland anyway. They've only ever shown the origin games Live on that.



I think Sky will pick up the rights cheap. I don't think ESPN would go for them.



I've sent an email to sky's programme department to see if they have anything to say regarding NRL.

Can't see Sky showing The Footy Show, if they get the NRL back.

Setanta Ireland is still broadcasting, its just not on the Sky EPG, you might be able to add it as an additional channel and view it as long as your card entitlements haven't expired

espn built its empire in the north america on neiche sports. but i think it would like to be more established here before it took on something like rgby league, as it would be a big unknown for them and therefore viewed as a huge risk. The good thing about about espn taking RL rights is that they take whatever sport they show very seriously and will pay big bucks for the privilege.
