i would have probably said the same about him, my folks always said he was a dirty player, its different persons opinions, in mine, a great or class player is someone who doesnt resort to milking penalties, being niggly and just down right petulant. tomkin is the latter and until he cuts that out to me he's just a player with heaps of talent but acts like a spoilt child

But he somehow feels the need to cheat, moan and niggle... Fans from all clubs can see him doing this... but when people say it, most ***** fans respond with "oh you just want him in your team, you're jealous."



Replace Wigan with Wire and you could be talking about Briers.

Tomkins takes far more niggle and dirty tactics then he dishes out and he's a tough little bug*er because he keeps coming back for more however many times he's the victim of foul play.



I'll admit he oversteps the mark but then so do alot of players with the only difference being the amount of negative comments he recieves in places like these in comparison to the others. That obvioulsy comes with the territory of being such a talented player and he'll just have to live with it as he is doing.



It's just a shame that the game in this country can't produce more players with the passion and will to win that Tomkins has whilst combining it with huge talent.

As somebody who watches him week in week out it's without doubt true.



He gives some but takes far more and just keeps taking the flak and taking the ball in.
