Didn't Wigan put 65 on Saints in 1997?

Much as don't like to agree with Stevo, he was spot on when he said the Saints team should take a look in the mirror. With their recent performances they've cost a good man his job.

Perhaps you should be asking more why couldn't Simmons generate that kind of response? It is, after all, a huge part of what he was paid for.

So they have no responsibility then. After all, they get paid as well.

The thought that Leeds were distracted by having spent half an hour earlier in the week having their hair dyed for charity is classic Stevo buffoonery. Sometimes a team just isn't at the races and tonight was such a night for Leeds.

Neither of us said they didn't have a responsibility for it but ultimately if motivation is an issue then it's the coach's responsibility to address it. If a player isn't motivated it isn't always enough just to point the finger at them and ask them why they're not motivated. Sometimes getting motivated requires intervention and that's what the coach is there for.

Does that mean Mike Rush is some kind of seminal, supernatural [iuber coach[/i never seen in sporting history before?



Afterall he's only been in the hot seat a week and he produces the most motivated performance seen from a team all season. Saints played like men posessed.



Obviously whatever simmons has been doing so far this season, the saints players didn't think much to it.



Simmons leaves, rush comes in and says ''just go out there and express yourselves'' and saints let all their frustrtions of recent weeks out.

MIke Rush wasn't doing the motivating at training and pre match, Keiron Cunningham was.



If KC tells you to do something, you bloody well do it.

How do you know that this wasn't the same situation when simmons was in charge?



Maybe it's now the saints players decided they could be bothered, now they got what they wanted.
