people are unhappy because the last two regular seasons have been dismal.

people are, rightly, saying they will skip season tickets, pick there games, and turn up for the play offs.

If Leeds win the Grand Final then I don't think they'll be the only set of fans failing to turn up for the regular season. Why spend £200+ watching games that have little or no relevance on who wins the trophies?

The spectacle? The day out? The fact you enjoy watching the sport?

Less importance means less of a spectacle.

If any of us truly enjoyed the sport in and of itself. Friendly matches would have the same or equal attendance to that of any other. Most of us, I assume enjoy the sport <> in conjunction with the significance of the outcome. In fact, if the sport was only what we enjoyed, why would anyone bother setting up a competition in the first place - which is arguably what the RL haven't bothered to do with the first 27 weeks of the season anyway.

Exactly, I think we'll see a large number of people start to pick and choose their games because they're seen as meaningless.

You mean the one RL used for60 to 70 years you know, before RU even knew you couls have a league competition.
