| Was looking forward to see if Sinfield could justify been Englands No.6.
Completely outplayed by Brough, Brough delivered a masterclass of stand off play, Sinfield went missing and was no where to be seen. When he did show up, it was poor quality. When he got the ball he only ever hit the first man. Where was his superb kicking game? If Leeds fans mention a beaten pack I will scream, Leeds were camped out on Hudds line time & time again yet they didn't look like scoring. When Leeds were up against it, where was Sinfield to kick them down field and relieve the pressure?
Brough did everything you want from a 6. Kicked superb, created and tackled his heart out. Even when Hudds were camped on their own 10, he booted the ball deep into Leeds corner.
How can McNamara watch that and justify Sinfield been Englands No.6 ahead of Brough? That's two games this season where Leeds and Hudds have gone up against each other and there has only been one clear winner.

| Brough was far better than Sinfield today as wee Hudds better Leeds. Didn't realise it was an international selection process game though, must have missed that.

| We're starting to build a dominant pack again and people want Sinfield back at 13 (which he hasn't played for years now). Just no.
And yes, Brough was better today. We'll see when Sinfield peaks at the end of the year like normal.

| As I've said before, this year Sinfield is doing too much tackling and affecting his attacking game.....by the 65min mark he was the 3rd highest tackler on the pitch behind only Crabtree and JJB. Not something that is ideal for a number 6 and should be understand that they have VERY different roles to play in their teams even if both picked at 6.
Plus that game wasn't won or decided by Brough vs Sinfield......it was about Hudds goalline defence.

| So do you ignore last week when Brough was totally dominated? He is far too inconsistent.

| Brough was helped immensely by getting decent ball from a proper hooker.

| I don't understand why Brough is dismissed by so many because he has the odd poor game, yet Sir Kev isn't afforded the same treatment.

It seems to me to exactaly the opposite in this case. Personally I'd pick both of them in the halves. No matter how much Bull Mania witters on with his obsession Sinfield will play. McNamara has made him captain, and has pretty much confirmed several times that Sinfield is his first choice half.

This. One game is all it was. I'd have Sinfield over Brough at the WC for what it's worth.

| If Sinfield is selected at 6 for England we might as well not bother turning up. As already mentioned he spends far too much time grafting. If his job is grafting he needs to be played at 13. 6 needs to be a creative player which Sinfield is not and never will be. We can't afford to lose a creative player just to shoehorn Sinfield into the side, this is something that's been wrong with the international game for many years now. Big name players playing out of position does not work, no matter who they are.
