absolutely correct as platt will be going to salford as part of deal that brings ratchford to bulls.

I hope we don't lose Platt at all, he's been quality this year and will only improve.

agree with all that, however I'd be prepared to sacrifice platt to get someone like ratchford on board. stefan has played a lot of and hasnt really featured in halves this year, so salford would be getting a player playing same position who could also cover fullback. We'd get a young half who we could bring on for a year or 2 alongside southernwood, both getting benefit of orfords experience, and then have a halves partnership which could last for quite a few years.

I don't think Ratchford has played once in the centres this year for Salford. He played there a couple of years ago, but when he does play now, it's in the halves. He's just had an unlucky year with injuries, hence his lack of game time.

He'll definately be signing for us then!

could have sworn they were using him in this year. dont really pay much attention to salfords games though. just remember him looking impressive in halves back end of last year once it was clear myler was going to wire and was being left out of team.

Like most on here I don't know a great deal about Ah Van but I trust the club and Mick Potter have done some research into him. For now I am just pleased to see us bolstering the backline with some new faces.

he's overseas. guess samoa link may mean he counts as non-fed trained rather than full quota but they are essentially the same thing next year anyway.

Apologies if this has already been mentioned but maybe the one year deal has been agreed as in the first instance it will suit both parties? After all, he is a young lad moving to the other side of the world. Perhaps he may struggle to settle so far away from his family?



He would not be the first player that this has happened to.



I am sure if he settles and it works out then an extension will be swiftly offered.
