It's an interesting one, because if, as we presumed, Menzies isn't being offered a one year extension to make way for an established player on a 2-3 year contract, the signing of a relative unknown on a one year contract seems odd, if it's to take up the quota spot. I think Menzies for another year would have been the more obvious and safer route, given he's still a stand out and consistent performer in the second row or the centres. So either he's somehow not on the quota or Potter really thinks he's the business and the 1 year contract is just to cover us against another Tupou situation.

Well, I think most people will be happy with the signing of a 22y/o established NRL 1ST grader.

all im saying is that too many big earning players have come in over the last few years and had no success can you imagine how much the likes of some of the players were earning like menzies orford solomona kearney deacon vainakolo newton hall ieysten harris morrison nero thats just some of the names yeah some have had a little success but if you dont win cups you get hardly any money like the big guns, its like salford mate look at the squad compared to the past years to where we had spent a few bob but no success made us skint
