| Much better! As it looked to me without the benefit of the replay yet...Still need to get tighter in defence, still letting them make too many yards from the PTB and we let some tries in that you would have hoped we would have kept out. But the half-back combo is working at last - and well - and Orford was massively influential. LeStrange was pretty hot Lynch and Scrutes made some big yards, Sheriffe is a different player this year - well done that man! - and Langley massive yet again. Not sure Worrincy made much impact again though. But a lot of more than decent performances all round I thought? Whitehead looked good again...we may have a bit of a gem there.
As for Halibut...well I'll watch the replay first but some of those decisions looked bizarre? He seemed determined to gift them field position (do they have an offside rule in France?), and what on EARTH was that nonsense when Beaver shoot up to play the ball and they grabbed it? No doubt the replay will show he was poor for both sides...
Anyway well done guys. We needed that.
Hope Owen is OK. Looked a bad one.

| Hopefully the result & performance will give the team a confidence boost. Alot better tonight but still plenty of room for improvement, especially defensively, but were off the bottom & heading in the right direction. Poor attendance, but hardly surprising after last weeks debacle.

| Miles better tonight from Bradford.
I thought the halfbacks pulled the strings well and looked to have a good balance to the partnership with a runner at 6 and an organiser at 7.
I thought Jamie Langley was the Bulls mom though. He caused problems everytime he had the ball and got through plenty of defensive work.

We're gonna have a very good back rower right there. Big, strong, athletic, aggresive and intelligent. For me, he's the best young forward at the club.

| Big improvement!
We certainly stepped up the intensity and looked alot more eager to force mistakes from Cas. Still some work to do in defence and I am sure McNamara will have been a little disappointed with the late tries but it is hard to grumble too much after last Sun!
Orford ran the show for us and was backed up well by plenty of his teammates. Some of the combinations came together a little smoother tonight, although I thought Cas were pretty poor defensively at times.
I just hope we can move forward now and string a few wins together to gain some momentum. We have been in this position before and we now need to try show some consistency. But the Chinese is ordered and I am off to watch the
replay of our first win of 2010!

| Much better, well played. Impressive performance from Orford and Kearney. Langley was excellent too. But still not completely convinced about our defence. A better side than Cas (no disrespect meant) would have scored a lot more.
Its nice to see some tries and some ideas in attack though.

| And does anyone really believe:
1) that the pop side was closed due to ice?
2) there was 8000 there?
I would have estimated less than 6000 to be honest.

Worrincy looked lost though'"
Literally at a couple of points tonight, running in the way of others and plays, he and Hall I thought had shockers.
But lets not concentrate on negative. Overall it was a massive improvement tonight, the opposition wasn't as good as last week, but the effort and application was far far better from Bradford. The key thing for me was that we attacked and defended in groups and combinations tonight rather than a bunch of individuals like last week, and the difference is points.
Orford ran the match, Kearney looked dangerous on the run, Reardon made the first tackler miss on a few good kick returns, Sheriffe put in a good display and the pack got through a lot of good work, led very well by Langley.
I'm still not convinced we wont slip into last weeks habits, there was some scratchy defence, but for tonight well done to McNamara and the team, it was the right responce. I especially liked the emphasis of the announcer when he announced a [iWIN[/i for the bulls after the hooter, followed by a large ironic/grateful cheer.

| We looked to be running at the defensive line with more intensity than we have in the last couple of games and it created more space for orford and Keaney to cause problems. It was also nice to see a bit more imagination in our attacking plays and to actually see players looking to offload the ball which did not happen in the first two games.
Hopefully we can build on this performance and that it will not turn out to be a false dawn like our better results from much of last season turned out to be.

1) no
2) no
I suspect they must count season passes if they have turned up or not, as I guess a few season pass holders watched on telly.
I'll tell you what though, in respect of shutting that end, I don't like change, I had to not stand where I always do for the first home game since....well...ever frankly, (20 odd years standing in the same area) and Odsal just looked plain wrong from my new perspective in the corner by the touchdown. The sooner that end is back open the better, I fear change...
