If the Caisley consortium gets control of the club and SL status is secured then Burgess may stay. If anything else happens he's gone.

If Caisely is Burgess IV's agent it will no doubt be in Caisely's financial interest for him to go.

If you look at his stats, they're very good. Not a huge amount of errors or missed tackles and great go forward.

Personally I think if they stop trying the crash ball with him he'd drop a lot fewer balls and there would be less to moan about him. Let him concentrate on making the yards for now, the impact can come

Maybe but I don't see anything to "moan about" with him, and I reckon I'm not alone, there are only a handful of resident know-all knockers.



I'd much rather we developed a forward who actually can run crash balls and do serious damage to the opposition, and I'd say the more he does it, the better he'll get at it.



Tom not only wins many collisions, often handsomely, but he is one of those forwards that can lift the team, and put us on the front-foot, by a couple of bullocking runs. For a young 'un, he's amazing, and I sometimes despair at what some people actually want.

My concern is that there is a tendency for players to become scape goats very quickly. There is one poster that seems to get on his back even when he plays well and I doubt the sincerity of that. I can see what you say re the crash balls though as if he did get it right it would be devastating and a potential game breaker. Just needs a hand off...

To sum up - Tom is a cracking prospect who is improving at a fair rate. Mick Potter has to be congratulated for having solid judgement in using him correctly; right time to play him and for the right amount of time. I hope both are here next year to continue what we've got but I don't even know if I'm optimistic or not....
