Ferres continues to impress me but his deccision making near the line is terrible. Not an international though.

Agreed. One of the 4 or 5 best of a pretty mediocre bunch of English props.
As for Whitehead he is not ready yet and Langley can't stay fit long enough. Whilst it may seem ironic that our players have been overlooked by the very coach under whose tutelage most of them have regressed it remains a fact that none of them demand selection on the last 2 years form.

I would say that most Huddersfield fans ( and Hull fans after yesterday ) would disagree with you. I could link this thread to our board and invite further views
'"
Aye, bringing Huddersfield fans in will offer a nice unbiased opinion too won't it? Especially the ones from the Hudders RLFans board, which is one of the most biased boards on this site.
I tend to agree that Crabtree deserves his spot though. A few years ago, he seemed a bit "lightweight" and in the Chris Feather mould of a huge bloke who just didn't use his size. Last couple of years though he's really stepped it up (ever since that International series where he had a belter) and should definitely be in there.
If we're querying how certain players got in ahead of the likes of Lynch, Scrutes & Hargreaves, I'm surprised people are picking out Crabtree when there's a far better target in Liam Watts! I also think LMS is massively overrated, and if he came from Keighley instead of London, he wouldn't even be in Super League.
Look on the bright side. At least no Darrell Griffin any more!

To be fair, it wasn't really a rant. It was more of an acknowledgement that he seems completely invisible to the Sky commentary team.
Something along the lines of "I could beat 10 players, score a length of the field try and the commentators still wouldn't mention me".
He was certainly a lot more reserved about them than most people watching that and other Super League games have been the last few weeks.
Ok maybe he shouldn't be venting in public, but I can understand his frustration. Looking at some of the crap that got into this England squad, his form has clearly been completely ignored. As far as the commentators go, Eddie may have referred to him but got his name wrong, Stevo would only mention him if he kicked a drop goal, and Clarkey won't acknowledge him unless he signs for Wigan.

| Wonder if McNamara partly blames Platt for his exit from Odsal after the number of brain farts he had while selected at FB? Hence his no selection?
Although I think Platt is playing well, I'd not say he's international standard. He runs and tackles hard, but to be honest he's not the best at getting the ball to his winger. In many ways he's still learning the position.
Hopefully this snub will push inspire him on to bigger and better things.
I'm very happy that he's publicly come out and stated his desire to represent England and his disappointment of non-selection. All these footballers who "retire" from internationals are a joke, at least he's showing the right attitude.

Agree.
I think he'd be better as a left centre as he's right handed so probably would pass better to his left as the movement is more natural.

| We are desperate for qulaity FBs & centres in this country. Though Platt still has potential he is well short of the standard required.

He's better on the right because he carries the ball with his right and fends with his left as do most natural right arm carriers.
