If we had offered him an extension of his existing contract at the same wage - he would have stayed. Having only one year left was not enough security at his stage in his career.

Glad to read that you don't see him being interested in anyone else. Would hate to lose Koppy but there is someone way above and beyond him that is a better backrower than anything you have at Headingley even at the age he is barring Sinfield when he plays 13. |
