I get this after most games I go to never really thought that much into it though

Maybe its not that straight forward, perhaps they have to prioratize and unfortunately family/other responsabilities come first and they have to pick and choose games, climb down off you holier than thou box ....

Nah you're wrong there. I know 5 people (including Mystic Leper) who would love to go to every game, but simply can't afford it as they have other things to spend their money which quite frankly, are more important than rugby (namely young children). Whenever there is an opportunity for a very cheap or free ticket, they are there in a flash.



I agree with your post in theory, but it very much depends on people's reasons. If people are not going for monetary reasons where the money is needed elsewere, I think it's fair enough. It's not exactly rich times at the moment. Those that aren't going because the team aren't successful at the moment or because the player they had a crush (or man-crush) on has left, then yeah, they don't have a right to call themselves supporters.

I once made the mistake of telling someone that he "should have gone to the match if he was that bothered", when I was asked the score of a City match as I made my way home through town.



For my troubles I got an in depth rant about the state of his finances, how he had 3 kids to support and had been made redundant twice in six months, I was even given the offer of accompanying him to a cash machine to see his bank balance.



Now I just stick to telling them the score.

I hope I never ask you aha, I can't make it to most games as I'm at uni in Manchester so I have to choose wisely but do try make as many as I can.

Similarly, my mate said the same thing to someone who asked "how have we gone on" earlier in the season. Unfortunately, he made the mistake of saying it to a florist on what happened to be Mother's Day

I would probably ask a City fan the score, if I saw them in the shop or something after the game but would never have any intention of going to the game. Is that wrong?

I see no problem with anyone asking about how the Bulls have gone on or are doing. At least they are interested.

I'll really worry when are so disinterested that they can't be bothered asking!

I saw one so called 'ardent' bulls fan from the glory years who I hadn't seen for some time and asked him if he had been this year.

He replied that he hadn't and vowed that he would never go again whilst Macnamara was the coach. I wonder how many others feel the same?

And they want to achieve what exactly by doing so????
