I can remember the support I posted on here for Donald in 2006. What were you posting?

If a player is really out of sorts then dropping him for a more in-form player would also send a message to others who may be 'struggling'. It's part of how coaches earn their dough IMO.

All this talk of scotty being a "confidence player" makes me think of the days when that very tag was attached to Marcus St Hilaire. When you don't got it.... you don't got it.

I agree. But dropping him to 'boost his confidence' is laughable IMO.



The 'swop' has not worked for Donald. Why not try him back on his natural side for a couple of matches?

Why not drop him and give a young Brit a go after impressing during the game time he's recieved?

And you think that continuing to play in front of a capacity crowd, and hearing the groans whenever he cocks up again is in someway going to motivate him?



Or that his fellow team members are delighted in effectively playing a man short in the squad?



We've had two excellent seasons from Scotty, whilst the rest has been a catalogue of under achievment, with this year being a mirror of his first season.



He can play on the left wing when he's back in Oz. We should continue with the excellent pairing of Hall and Senior.

Because I have been his staunchest defender on these boards.

So continuing to play him will improve his confidence!! - dropping/rest - cannot make his confidence any worse surely



A team that is not playing well cannot afford to carry anyone - I would swop him for 3/4 weeks if that doesn't work then I think a rest is in order
