As has been mentioned diskins form has suffered like many others has at times this year.

The thing with diskin is that buderus is world class which shows whether he is playing or not and this gets highlighted more in games such as wigan away where we completely lost the momentum when buderus went off.

However whilst this wasn't only diskins fault it's more noticeable because it's a pivatol position.

Hopefully diskin can continue his current form and the rest will be a distant memory.

Buderus is clearly a better hooker. Looking at the squad, I still question the virtue of bringing him in unless Diskin were to leave, as Diskin is really not suited to being any kind of 'impact' player from the bench. Still, we have what we have.

Absolutely agree.

His problem this year has been the "impact" role off the bench isn't really his thing. You could argue that we were actually better balanced last year with him starting and then Burrow and Webb popping up at dummy half to take advantage of tiring defence at the end of each half. Buderus is a great player, but he isn't an impact 9 either and is best left on the field for as long as possible. From what I've seen of Matt playing without Buderus in the 17 there is nothing weak about this position for us. It's difficult for Diskin when he is a very similar player to Buderus, just slightly less capable in all departments (and this isn't a crticism - Buderus is a great player). We look a better side with only one of them in the 17 for me and a bigger bench.

It would cedrtainly be a tough call come the crunch games whether to pick both. I suspect Bluey probably would, but I agree it seems a waste of a bench spot when both hookers would be able to play 80m, and neither is a Roby-type impact player off the bench.
