Better players = more consistant results = better cup and play off runs = bigger crowds = more money. Eventually = winning things.

More investment in players = less investment in infrastructure = bye bye Super League.

For instance, Harlequins, Catalans - we only achieved 5,000 attendances.



I'd say we have a ST base of about 3000 fans. Hull have considerably more.

So we get 2000 away support every game....dont think so.

No, the bigger games more paying fans come out the woodwork.

Alot more would come out of the woodwork if we were winning games and putting in good performances week in week out



Until we gain back consistancy, stop getting thumped by bigger teams and comptete week in week out the "woodwork fans" will remain the same



I remember a certain CEO saying in 1999 that he wanted an average crowd of 10k in the next 5 years, Well hes had 10 and were still not there.



Wont mention his hairbrain 5 year plans including Grand finals etc.



Fans want to follow consistant success.

Fans want to see quality players, not release someone then resign then 1month later who in fairness is average at best.



Stopping recruitment because of a 20k fine is a lame excuse, Sign a quality player he'll pay for himself and the fine in season tickets and shirts alone.

on subject of lack of quality signings id put up with this seasons squad if it meant some really positive news on the new stadium

It would be … if anyone had offered it as an excuse. Or indeed said that we'd stopped recruitment. TM says the exact opposite – but what would he know compared to the odd internet poster.

As for shirts in Before Christmas, theres a first - finally after god knows how many years they are realising what an important revenue stream it is.
