Going back to the game I thought we played pretty well. Any win is a good win up there so that should give the lads plenty of confidence going forward..



The worry for me was that right edge defence when the ball was moved quickly..



Apart from that it was a good nights work!

Well played last night Halifax, you deserved the win just off the 1st half performance alone when Barrow had no answer at all. I thought Laughton was inconsistent to both teams, however he wasnt the one missing all the tackles and showing no passion in the 1st half so no complaints from me. It was a cracking game for the neutral !! I agree the crowd was $hite, but at least they all paid to get in ( no freebies at Barrow, unlike some clubs to boost the attendance! ). Good luck for the rest of the season.

It was a nice surprise as I didn't expect a win, when we play that type of rugby we are hard to live with and it is very pleasing on the eye. But it was typical of us to let Barrow back in it although they speeded up their play the ball second half. Regards Laughton he pinged us twice for offside that gave Barrow good feld position for those two early tries whilst as far as I can remember never doing Barrow once and if you watch him he never looks down the line at all which is why I got annoyed, in tight games it makes a big difference, we got a penalty first half (not for offside though) and we scored from the next set of six.

Not a bad turnout from Fax for a Thursday night, I don't think Barrow have not gone forward as much as they thought on and off the field.



Anyway well done lads lets kick on now keep the momentum going.

A few of the lads were out last night and saying that this is the last season the majority of them will play together and that they are all really up for it and are going to try and make sure they go out with a GF win.

Well from my hotel bar in Magaluf I was very impressed.



The first half was just plain awesome, by far our best performance of the season. It was plainly obvious Barrow were going to come back at us in the second, the introduction of Carlile caused us problems. It is our defence which is worringly weak but it has still improved. A couple of months ago we would have lost that game, the players look to have that steel in their eyes as well as fantastic team spirit as the camera showe dthem running over to our fans.



We never seem to play completely on SKY, we play well but we do something to bitter the taste of the summarisors, hopefully against SKY RL oh sorry Widnes we can shove their doubts and bias down their throats.
