It gets worse for Widnes it looks like TKL injured himself in the interview and may be out for the season.

It was a tough interview. This guy is hard as nails. I don't know how much they're paying him but they should double it. Legend.

Widnes seem to lack any "Strength of Character" In most the TV Games they've lost they've done ok til they've gone behind, then they've struggled.



Tonight they started well and I thought they would go on to win quite comfortably, but once Leigh came back at them (ok even with a dodgy try) they looked lost for a while after. The weather did neither side any favours but the spell where both sides knocked on repeatedly happened inside the Widnes 30, which meant Leigh had the upper hand as it was Widnes trying to make the hard yards.

Widnes are absolutley dire. They just look like a team of individuals. Also what is the Leighs groundstaff obsession with watering the pitch.

...and some! I thought Widnes lost that more than Leigh won it though. Too much dropped ball in their own half.

I know what you mean about Widnes dropping the ball, however I think a lot of credit should go to Leigh for their defence. Widnes did not just throw the match away IMO. Leigh did put a lot of pressure on them and some of their tackling was very impressive. They did not give Widnes the time and space to run away with the game. Also, the conditions made handling difficult for both sides. Leigh just performed better on the night. As I have said for two seasons now, the hype surrounding Widnes in the press etc. has been over the top to say the least. They have not had the players to make them the team that the media has tried to make them out to be. They are neither a very good or very bad side. A lot of people fail to give credit to teams who beat Widnes. They tend to concentrate on Widnes having underachieved. I do not think that they have underachieved this season, based on the squad they have. The majority of their players IMO, are no better than those at a lot of other teams in the league, so they are doing well to be 3rd, IMO.

We crap and should be doing better.Bad attitude and teams raise against us.
