WHilst I don't agree he left Widnes prematurely, he is still a good coach McCormack and as mentioned did well with Gateshead this year, beating both Widnes and Fax in the run in.
I think if he went to Barrow they'd still be a force next year, in 2007 McCormack had us playing as well as we'd played for a few years, he just struggled to get us across the finishing line.
