Varks seems to have gone backwards. He looks to lack pace & didnt want to use his strength to break a tackle.

The whole widnes team seems to be struggling though. No confidence or anything. They need to start putting it right soon. They've already played three more games then Toulouse in 7th and only five points clear of them.
It would be a real shock if they miss the playoffs, but the way they're playing it could happen. The need a major shake up from cullen. Either bang some heads together or get new blood, but something has to change.

Sad news at widnes i get rid of half the team next year.Doran a penalty machine and knocks on too much.Simm,thompson not big enough and not punch holes as too slow.No decent centres and thackeray on the wing?Makes me laugh how thackeray never plays alongside webbo.Duffy too fat and slow.Widnes fans are really ed off and we know we are .

Varks looked great until someone came in to tackle him! Widnes will be playing better by the end of the season - they have too many good players on their books not to.
Our game against Barrow is key - win that one and there's no stopping us (until we get to the one-off games in the playoffs). Remember, 3 points different in the game up in Cumbria, and they'd be the ones on 100% with us chasing their tails... |
