what is this a witch hunt??



He is one of the best players in the league the only problem he has at the moment is he is trying to shoulder the responsiblity of the whole team, the errors he is making are always in an attempt to make a gap/break. He is putting his hand up every week its just not happening for him at the mo, i wouldnt swap him for any other 9 in the league except maybe Gleeson.



as for bowman how can you judge him on a handful of appearences, i didnt see ppl complaining bout him when he scored a hatrick earlier in the year. you have to understand we have no reserve team so those weeks when he was not selected he wasnt getting any match practice, then to be thrown into the team which is struggling is always going to be tough.



everyone has the right to post their opinions on here but slagging individual players off is just bad for morale.

I was sat in the middle of the Batley fans last night and they kept saying he is definately our best player, he looked dangerous everytime he got the ball, okay he made some errors, but like you said I think he is trying too hard.



I too, would not swap him for any other hooker in this league.



I remember how good it felt when he signed a 2 year contract, no difference now.

I personally think penky has always had mistakes in his game but more often than not in the past his good points (sometimes winning us the game) has masked the mistakes that he did used to make, were now he is trying to hard to compensate for his errors forcing more. Hoepfully he will buck up, because at present he is a long long way off the player he can be and I hope it is not a case of being too familar with your coach and getting a place on the team regardless. Come on penky lad get back to yourself

Personally I feel that Penky would have had the tools to perform more consistently IF he had had an experienced and talented no. 6 in the side. The same goes for Ben Black, of course.



I can only hope that this apparent deficiency is resolved for next season.

totally agree. get an organiser at 6 and let penky rotate with Glees where he is best. His game is being ruined playing at half back. we all know he is better scooting at play the ball and making sure we get quick yards.

Get off the lads back, he set up 3 tries and he is playing out of position.

Unfortunatley it has taken our coach a full season to realise this and in doing so has made one of our best players look like a right twonk.

I think thats a little unfair on MC, things were going well at the start of the season so it didnt matter as much did it

Things were going well but it was still pretty clear to everyone we were lacking a Stand Off.

i don't agree bout the stand off talk, i think govin at 6 black 7 and beswick 13 is the best combo with glees and penky interchanging at 9. its not a lack of stand off which is losing the games, its defense and errors combined with some injuries.
