I dont support town I am a Leeds united fan for my sins but still like to see town doing well because they are my home town team. Just a shame their fans don't feal the same way. I would want any team representing Halifax to do well even if it was a yornion team because it's my home town and am proud to say I am from Halifax.

The council may be under pressure to save money, but the state of The Shay lately is becoming an embarassment, especially after how much money they spent to finish the east stand.



North Stand work still not commenced, new Scoreboard Pledged, and a pitch that gets water logged if "someone spills a glass of water" as Toby Higgins the ex courier reporter once said.



I understand that AFC Town Halifax have been getting some grief off the league over the amount of postponed games at The Shay.



This may sound a bit barmy, but under that scheme where individuals or groups can bid to take over the running of council services if they think they can do a better job, perhaps resurrecting the Shay Stadium Trust in a new form wouldn't be a bad idea. As long as the council deliver on the promises of the work they said they'd do first.

I didnt even realize we shared the ground to be honest. It came as a bit of a shock but what I cant understand is why the council let a pub team play on their pitch when all the other pub teams have to play on skircoat moor or else where.

Why should I get behind a team in a Sport I hate? And why Should I get behind a Club that has caused no end of problems for Fax and refuses to work with us? Just because a club or even is based in Halifax I dont see or even understand why I should go out of my way to wish them well.

The rugby team always have to start their season on a rubbish pitch, that the football churn up, it's lush when our season finishes and football have the nerve to say its us!!! Talking about football, they put big sheets over the rugby photos in the bar area....how petty!!
