Quote SRC="SRC"You guys are obsessed with goings-on at Barrow aren't you.
Last years' accounts are pretty meaningless, especially as .....
Crowds in 2009 were up almost 70%,
Have a turnover of £800K+ in 2009 to-date (season tickets have yet to go on sale which will greatly increase this figure),
We got to 2 finals in 2009 and topped the league,
Are due to post a £100K+ profit in 2009,
Have, in the last 8 weeks, increased the club lottery income by £600 a week (£30K PA), a figure that is still growing weekly.
On top of this, the club has NEVER been been wound-up, even during the very dark days of the mid/late 90's and we own land worth approx £5M.
Regardless of DJ's input, we are more financially sound than 95% of Pro RL clubs - including most SL clubs. The most important thing is that the RFL know this as well.
No story here I'm afraid.'"
The story is that you are gullible enough to believe everything you read and hear. 70% attendance rise will include 35% free tickets. What does the lottery cost per week, if it is the same as us then it is £1. So this lottery is taking on 600 new people a week? I smell some tax dodging going on here.

Dont forget the prize money! That will take out about £500 a week.

The biggest load of crap I have heard in a long time.
According to your official site you had over 35 players in your first team this year. Lets say an average wage of 10k = 350K. Start off the season on -130K. Pay of Des's loan - 130k. Don't forget Des gave the 100k prize money to the players!
And you claim that you will make 100k profit next year!
No Championship team with 2k attendances makes £600k+ in a season.
Pull your head out of your .
