O.K. Who's going to France. Has anyone been before, got any tips or information? We are having two nights in Carcassonne and two nights in Toulouse. Will it be sunny? Can you spend Wetherspoon vouchers in the local bars? Do they sell real food in the shops.....?

Yer said it before, we are off in a party of 5 staying in Carcasonne 3 nights then in Toulouse on Saturday.

We're staying Sat/Sun nights in Toulouse and Mon night in Carcasonne.

I hope you're not one of those guys who roll off the plane in Union Jack shorts, carrying a string bag full of baked beans and bottles of ketchup and singing "here we go" (with the aid of a song sheet of course) at the top of your voice.

We are staying in Toulouse from the Saturday until the Tuesday. It will be very sunny and very hot

Likely Unofficial meeting place on the Saturday for the Bar Army - Real Ale offshoot of the Barmy Army - is likely to be the Frog & Rosbif Pub (has it's own Micro Brewery & serves about 6 real ales as well as International Lagers) in the Centre of Toulouse. There is a Metro station about 400 metres away that takes you to the Ground - about 3 stops. I will post full details in the next couple of weeks for those interested. It also serves food - not cooked on the premises, but brought in from nearby Italian & Indian Takeaways!

Given Fax's track record of long away trips, Limoux, Bridgend etc, this was a non starter for me.



Hopefully they will stream it on the internet with the funny French commentary, wonder if they will say "SAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIID"

You'll love it folks. Head for the Melting Pot and they will show any Super League games that are on Sky while you're there.



Enjoyed it so much in April that I set up a savings account for next year - unfortunately I think the account name will be changing from "Toulouse savings" to "London Skolars savings" very shortly

sadly I cant go, passport run out & it's so bloody expensive nowadays to renew!
