RESULT: Lymm RL 26 Wigan Riversiders 16
Heartbreak for the Wigan Riversiders yesterday when they fell short against a re-born Lymm RL, in a game that saw the Riversiders dominate into a 16-6 lead with 20 minutes remaining it was Lymm who finished the strong with using the numbers from the bench.

Sometimes you can feel happy in defeat and this one of those occasions, the effort in the full game from 1-18 was credible in humid conditions. A full match report will be online soon.

RESULT: Wigan Riversiders 82 Blackpool Sea Eagles 0
The Riversiders first team got back to winning ways in style yesterday when they blew the Sea Eagles away at Parsons Meadow. After 4 defeats on the bounce the Riversiders had to find a win going into the second half of the conference season.

Blackpool started the game well and had 4 repeat sets on the Riversiders line, but strong and much improved defence from the Riversiders kept the Blackpool side out. Wigan went into the half time break leading 22-0, the second half was all one way traffic, so much that Blackpool only had the ball 5 times in the whole second half.

Its good to see the first team back to winning ways and it will be a great confidence booster going into a tough run of games over the 3/4 weeks.

A full match report will be online soon.
MATCH REPORT - Huyton Bulldogs 62 Riversiders Eels 16
The Riversiders second team travelled to league favourites Huyton Bulldogs and came unstuck in a game that was within site at half time with the sCOre 20-16. A few injuries and player drop outs hampered the selection and it was Huytons bigger bench that made the difference in the second half.
